The History of "The Architects of Adult Retail"

Located in a small township of Orlando, Florida called Fairvilla, the Fairvilla Twin Cinema first opened it doors in 1971. The cinema originally featured mainstream movies, but in time was transformed into one of the state's premier adult cinemas featuring soft-core feature films.

In 1992, Fairvilla Adult Video (later changed to Fairvilla Megastore) was born. Based upon a retail concept of owners, Bill & Shari Murphy, the Megastore became not only the largest adult store in the nation, but also a unique retail environment and upscale shopping experience for women, men and most notably, couples

In 1996, the second and largest Fairvilla Megastore opened in Cape Canaveral, Florida. With over 15,000 square feet, Fairvilla Megastore became a true "Megastore for Lovers."

Originally constructed as a religious attraction designed after King Solomon's Temple, this enormous octagonal building was home of numerous Night Clubs and a Nautical Museum before becoming the nations largest store of its kind. Fairvilla Megastore is located just 1 mile south the busiest cruise port in the United States, and 2nd busiest in the world, Port Canaveral.

In August of 2001, Fairvilla Megastore in Cape Canaveral welcomed over 1895 ladies for their premier event, Ladies Night. The evening was filled with indulgences such as chocolate covered strawberries and champagne, a vendor row with the latest in erotic technologies, giveaways and the famous Male Dance Review.

In October of 2002, Fairvilla Megastore opened the 3rd store for lovers in Key West, Florida. In less than a year, Fairvilla Megastore became a significant part of the Key West community with major sponsorships in Fantasy Fest, Pride Fest, Women Fest and many other local events.

In 2003, along with their Royal Sponsorship of Fantasy Fest, Fairvilla Megastore also had substantial involvement with the campaign of candidate and crowned King of Fantasy Fest 2003, Bill Andersen. Candidates for the King and Queen of Fantasy fest raised over $425,000 for AIDS Help, Inc of Key West.
